We have summarised our route below but if you want to get interactive with groovy Google Maps, including satellite pictures, of where we'll be, we have plotted the route here (of course, we will be walking pathways rather than driving along the roads but it is a pretty good approximation).
Essentially, our continental route is as follows:
- From Grafenrheinfeld,
- skirting West of Würtzburg into the Naturpark Bayerischer Spessart at Gumüden
- westwards to Worms
- then North towards Koblenz, joining the Rheine at Rüdesheim
- along the Rheine towards Bonn
- but departing before Bonn Westwards towards Aachen
- continuing Westwards into Belgium to Maastricht
- Leuven
- Gent
- Bruges
- to catch the ferry to Dover at Oostende
